India celebrates its first Global Architecture Event with Delhi Architecture Festival 2016

Delhi Architecture Festival 2016 is a two months long event with studio talks spanning across the city starting from October 2016 to architectural exhibition and seminars in January 2017. It is the first in the series of Architectural Festivals planned to be conducted across India culminating at a grand event of India Architecture Festival. 

The main motive of Delhi Architecture Festival is to act as a platform for exhibiting the purity of Indian architecture to the common public and to felicitate the masters in the field on Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design and Urban design. Delhi Architecture Festival 2016's Final Event is scheduled from 13th January to 15th January 2017.

The event showcases some of the most interesting works happening in the field of architecture. Architects, students along with people from various spheres of life would be invited to learn, collaborate and discuss. 

Beyond helping the people of architecture fraternity, this endeavor would also help in making the common people be aware about the subject and its importance. DAF is collaborating with 50+ architects across the city and abroad for Studio talks, Seminars & Talks and Panel Discussions, and expecting 500 delegates in the venue in these three days.

Delhi Architecture Festival 2016 (DAF 2016) will feature the following sections:

1. Exhibition: The primary focus of the festival is an exhibition featuring the work of 20 of the biggest and best architectural design studios in India. These projects will talk of excellence in implementation, design and creativity and prove inspirational to the viewers of the event.

2. Student Corner: The student corner will feature winning entries from a design competition that will be launched before the event. Selected Institutions from India will also be part of the event showcasing their ideas, designs and architectural projects curated by an expert panel of Indian and International architects.

3. Seminars and Talks: The India Architecture Festival seminar programme will provide an opportunity to architects and non-architects to hear from the leading architects, experts, and thinkers from India and abroad. The full speaker line up will be announced closer to the festival date.

With design promotions, presentations and knowledge sharing with expert speakers, the team at DAF aims to overwhelm the professionals by the architectural inspiration that DAF has to offer. The architectural festival will highlight research and projects that explore the reciprocity and synergy between design and implementation, the digital and the physical, and between digital software and material logic. 

DAF speakers, panelists and judges from all around the world. 

This one of its kind architectural festival will bring together designers, researchers and practitioners who engage, question and aspire to stretch these boundaries to share, display and exhibit their ideas to the rest of the world. The speaker interactions and the publication of its proceedings will provide a major channel of communication among experts in the field of architecture.
