Bilal Soudani, a Master’s student in Architecture and Entrepreneurship at the University of Tlemcen, Algeria. As an emerging architect, I am particularly interested in the intersections between ecological innovation, cultural identity, and socially engaged design. My academic journey has been marked by a continuous exploration of how architecture can respond to contemporary challenges such as climate change, food security, and urban resilience.
Through my university projects, I have developed multidisciplinary concepts that blend architecture with urban agriculture, adaptive reuse, and sustainable technologies. One of my recent student works, TerraViva – Vertical Farm School & Research Tower, submitted for the WA Student Awards, reflects this vision by proposing a conceptual vertical infrastructure that brings together agricultural education, climate research, and food production within a dense urban environment.
I approach architecture as a tool for transformation—one that goes beyond aesthetics to serve life, culture, and the planet. I am fluent in Arabic, French, and English, and I work confidently with design and modeling software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, enabling me to communicate ideas effectively and develop projects from concept to vision.
I believe that every architectural gesture, no matter how small, carries the potential to improve lives and shape a more sustainable and compassionate future.
