Villa Pilon, Rahatabad, Iran
PASARGAD Consulting Architects & Planners
THE VILLA IS ON TOP OF A HILL OUTSIDE A VILLAGE 50 KM. FROM TEHRAN (THE CAPITAL CITY) (ALTITUDE OF 2800 M). THE AREA OF THE SITE IS 300 M^2 OF WHICH ONLY 80 M^2 COULD BE BUILT ON ACCORDING TO LOCAL REGULATIONS. THE GENERAL FORM IS RECTANG¬ULAR SOLID WHICH IS DEFORMED ON ONLY SIDE.
ASPECTS OF THE WORK THAT HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED IN DESIGN:
1- PROPER ORIENTATION FOR MAXIMUM (MINIMUM) ABSORPTION OF ENERGY IN WINTER (SUMMER).
2- APPROPRIATE DIALOG BETWEEN THE BUILDING AND THE EARTH.
3- COMBINING THE EXTERNAL PATHWAYS WITH THE INTERIOR SPACE & CREATING A MULTILAYAR AND RELATIVELY SIZABLE SPACE. (COMPLEXITY BESIDE SIMPLICITY)
4- APPLICATION OF CONTINUOUS SURFACES SO THAT ONE DOES NOT FEEL NOTICABLE BORDERS BETWEEN THE CEILING, FLOOR, STAIRCASES AND THE EXTERNAL PATHWAYS.
