Total Project Area: 18.000 m2
location of the project:-
The Pyramids Plateau area near Sphinx International Airport and the Egyptian Museum in Al-Kabir.
The Reason for choosing the location: The Pyramids Plateau is considered one of the new facades of Giza Governorate due to its archaeological importance, and therefore it will be a distinctive facade for the establishment of the World Fairgrounds.
Plaza Square (representing the North African region), the pavilion of the host country, Egypt, with the ancient
Egyptian character.
1-The events arena is a dome made of steel and covered with dual-view panoramic screens with RGP projectors and lighting elements. The design lines of the dome came from an analysis of one of the ancient Egyptian symbols, which is the sun disk in its radiant form, and the dome’s columns are from an analysis of the lines of the lotus flower.
2- The CONSTRUCTION of the building is mainly STEEL STRUCTURE including trusses, rafts and barriers. Two main materials are used for internal and external finishes which are GRC (glass reinforced concrete) and GRP
(glass reinforced plastic) with veneers of timber or other alternatives of thickness from 0.5 mm to 3 mm. (GRP) .
3-Sustainability aspects used in the project
-It consists of using environmentally friendly local materials that combine new technologies and forms with old ones, which reduces energy consumption and pollution, which interacts with the idea of sustainability.
-The design uses advanced display technology such as holograms, projecting and displaying 3D images outdoors.
