Design Intention – Residential Complex in Pardis

The design intention for this residential complex in Pardis is shaped by the city’s emerging urban character, its proximity to Tehran, and its mountainous landscape. As a rapidly developing area, Pardis presents an opportunity to create a structured yet human-centered residential environment that balances density with quality of life.

The core concept is based on controlled density and open space hierarchy. Instead of maximizing built mass, the project organizes residential blocks around a network of green spaces, courtyards, and pedestrian pathways. This approach enhances environmental quality while fostering a sense of community among residents.

Responding to the sloped topography of Pardis, the volumetric composition follows the natural gradient of the site. Buildings are arranged in stepped formations, allowing each unit to benefit from natural light, views, and proper ventilation. This strategy also minimizes earthwork and integrates the project with the landscape.

Climatic considerations play an important role in the design. Building orientation is optimized to maximize solar gain during colder seasons and reduce excessive heat in summer. Semi-open spaces such as balconies and terraces are designed as transitional zones, improving thermal comfort and encouraging outdoor living.

Material selection reflects durability and contextual identity. The use of stone, brick, and neutral tones creates a harmonious relationship with the surrounding mountains, while maintaining a contemporary architectural expression.

The spatial organization emphasizes a gradient from public to private. Collective spaces such as playgrounds, community areas, and green corridors are located at the heart of the complex, while residential units are positioned to ensure privacy and آرامش.
