ZyG Audio

A fresh approach to commercial interior design drove the project for ZyG Audio, an audio and video specialty store located in an Interlomas shopping center. The renovation aimed to recreate a residential atmosphere; as a showroom targeting end-users, the priority was to generate a space where customers felt at home, presenting the equipment within a familiar, everyday setting.

The spatial layout capitalized on the existing double-height ceiling, positioning the living area at the store's center as the showroom's core and reinforcing the residential concept. A structure was also designed to define the study area; its lower ceiling height evokes the scale of an apartment, allowing for the integration of a functional kitchen and a terrace on the entry level. Spatial proportions, combined with the choice of furniture and materials, were key to achieving this objective.

Part of the mezzanine was designated as a family/game room, conceived as an intimate, recreational space. Access is provided by a staircase designed to serve as a standout architectural feature of the project.

Material selection was guided by the intent to create a contemporary environment with a residential feel: wood flooring to delineate zones, a geometric accent wall, and furnishings featuring dark woodwork, leather, and textiles that enhance the sense of warmth and livability. Both general and decorative lighting were integrated to highlight the materials and displayed equipment, ensuring a well-balanced perception of the space and its functionality.
