Designed by IGLO Architects, the Beko Administration and R&D Center brings production, research and management functions together under one roof, creating an integrated working environment. Combining industrial scale with contemporary spatial solutions, IGLO Architects places functionality, sustainability and user experience at the heart of the design.
Located in the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone in Türkiye, the interior architecture and façade design of the Beko Administration and R&D Center bear the signature of IGLO Architects.
Led by architects Zafer Karoğlu and Esen Akyar Karoğlu, IGLO Architects has delivered architectural design, project development and implementation services across numerous cities in Türkiye and internationally for clients from a wide range of industries. In this project, the studio aimed to establish a strong physical and functional connection between management, production and R&D processes. The 10,000 m² spatial organization developed by IGLO Architects clearly separates administrative offices from technical research areas while ensuring uninterrupted communication and accessibility between departments. The building's massing, designed in harmony with its industrial scale, makes its relationship with the production infrastructure visible through architecture.
The façade features precast concrete panels that define the building's strong and understated character while reinforcing its industrial identity. Textile mesh sunshades filter daylight in a controlled manner, providing visual comfort throughout the interiors. The R&D departments, located on the upper levels, are complemented by social terraces defined by wide-span canopies. Open spaces overlooking the surrounding mountains and a centrally positioned courtyard create semi-open environments that enhance natural ventilation while encouraging social interaction among employees.
On the ground floor, a transparent showroom and foyer welcome visitors by presenting the brand's global operations in an open and inviting environment. Laboratory and testing facilities located at the rear of the building are directly connected to the office spaces through efficient circulation routes, supporting operational productivity.
The project's sustainability approach extends beyond structural solutions. IGLO Architects repurposed industrial components, such as washing machine drums from the production line, as landscape elements integrated into the design. This approach strengthens the connection between the building and its manufacturing culture while offering a creative perspective on the reuse of industrial waste.
