Joya House is a complete refurbishment project that transforms a traditional Mediterranean villa into a contemporary retreat with Ibiza-inspired elegance. Nestled on the Spanish coast, the intervention preserves the charm of local architecture—arched openings, clay tile roofs, and whitewashed walls—while enhancing it with a curated palette of natural textures and minimalist lines. The design focuses on light, materiality, and spatial flow to create a home that feels timeless, inviting, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

The heart of the project lies in its harmonious dialogue between indoor and outdoor spaces. The pool area is framed by soft landscaping, terracotta pots, and olive trees, with white lounge furniture and orange accents echoing the warmth of the Mediterranean sun. Large wooden doors, handcrafted details, and organic finishes give the architecture a tactile, grounded quality. By combining rustic elements such as textured plaster and exposed wood with refined, sculptural furniture, the space achieves a balance between traditional and contemporary.

Inside, the home reveals a layered interior design narrative where each material and object has been carefully selected to support a lifestyle of ease and refinement. Custom furniture pieces, woven natural fibers, artisanal ceramics, and soft earthy tones create a calm and cohesive atmosphere. Spaces like the open kitchen and the veranda dining area are designed not just for function, but for slow living, social connection, and everyday beauty.

Lighting plays a central role in enhancing the mood of each environment. Both natural and artificial lighting are orchestrated to accentuate architectural forms, textures, and key elements. The result is a poetic interplay of shadows and warmth that transitions gracefully from day to night.

Joya House is more than a renovation—it is a reimagining of coastal living, rooted in authenticity, craftsmanship, and the serene spirit of the Mediterranean. It embodies a holistic design approach where every detail contributes to a sense of joy, simplicity, and understated luxury.
