LIVE URBAN PATTERN - urban concept project for development of old power plant area after its living time in city of BIELSKO-BIALA.

Project idea is an atempt to resolve problematic issue of old, unsufficient, uneffective power plants existing near or in the cities centers.
20-30 more years of power plant life, old technology, high cost of modernization, changing fuels - all of these aspects change energetic policy and create problem to solve: what next and what can we do with power plants spaces?
This is very complex issue which needs years of studies.
“LIVE URBAN PATTERN...” is a proposal for specific, individual place - city of Bielsko-Biala; also giving an idea of possible solutions for other similar areas.
Bielsko-Biala is a turistic city with beatiful landscapes, mountains, historical architecture and ambitions for playing leading role in a region.
Concept design forms dialog of different city characters, join them together and takes best of all Bielsko-Biala functional areas.

Idea for project area is to take what is the best of the region and create pattern of public space existing for people of the city.

Project creates spaces of people and places connections, giving for habitants perfect areas of entertiment, leisure time, relaxation, education. Functional pavillons represents one of the main city character - activity, and parque hills other - relaxation and peace.
As a survenir after power plant project adapts cooling tower and makes it its own part.

The whole project gives what city of Bielsko-Biala need - space which will lead it into the future.
