Reliving the scientific research process & reliving the glory of Cairo again through establishing a contemporary research center serves locally, regionally & internationally.
-The site of the project locates on an historical area which is considered the origin of the Cairo & has many Islamic style Monuments expressing the power of the Islamic era.
-The Islamic pattern depends on the regular shapes which allow infinite extensions the can used as a module for the research center.
-The Gallery building comes emphasizing the idea of reliving the glory of the ancestors’ contributions. It’s an abstraction for the ancestors’ knowledge revealed & comes from the ground upwards to the sky… ‘’Dome of Sciences’’
*Aims & Goals:
-Adopting the young generation & trying to provide them with knowledge & sharpen their skills which will qualify them in the future to contribute in the research product process. Support research by scientists and other scholars as part of their broader educational missions.
-Creating a unique image which reflect the fertilized identity of Cairo & acts as a landmark that can be used as a slogan for Cairo culture representing the contemporary age.
*The Sustainability achieves in the building with its three branches by going through many Issues like:
1. Serving the surrounding poor neighborhoods.
2. Reliving the crafts & Arts of the in-between Spaces in Area.
3. Reusing the Site Natural Materials& the Historical Architecture.
4. Using green techniques to generate energy.
5. Achieving a production cycle to get a National income.
