This project is a restaurant. It mainly focuses on providing a cruise boarding experience. The location is set around the port and overlook the port. This restaurant has a reception counter, an aisle and a dining hall, which respectively corresponds to customs, a boarding bridge and an atrium of a cruise. The dining hall is high enough to create a mezzanine and small side platforms alongside the side walls, which adding layering to the vertical height. It is also equipped with spiral stairs and cabin windows, depicting vividly a cruise. Moreover, the ceiling is formed like a grid which assembles the coordinate of the universe in the wild open ocean. It seems this cruise has already sailed out. As for the materials, it mainly includes sheet metals, wallpapers, mirrors, woods and marbles. These materials create a luxury and magnificent visual feast. The guests enjoy a complete and authentic cruise experience in the process of showing their tables and dining. At last, the balcony reproduces decks of a cruise. Meanwhile, it is also equipped with aquarium simulating the ocean. The ceiling on the balcony is curve-shaped and blue-painted, which emits light through gaps. When standing on the balcony, the ceiling forms either like waves or clouds depending on whether you decide to set sail or pull in to shore. If you decide to pull in to shore and look at the port or the city, it seems the cruise has arrived at its destination, driving you to visit the port or the city after their meals.
