According to the study of the competition objectives, experiences and results of our team in domestic and international architectural competitions along with studies and review of successful results of competitions with similar topics, before starting the design, the study and researching about the meaning and concept of housing, basic and essential life facilities have been done.
One of the most important results of preliminary studies is what activities each person does in their living space and what kind of designed spaces they need to perform their activities.
In his activities, human beings need a closed, semi-open and open space, which, if left unattended and not designed together, will limit and reduce the quality of life
The moon and life in it is a new event and human beings must use their experiences of life on earth to create the best life and the highest quality for themselves.
Energy management and temperature difference between night and day
Soil is a material with high heat capacity. The large temperature difference between day and night on the surface of the moon is a challenge that must be well answered. There is no such difference on the surface of the earth, but the solution can be inspired by nature and heat-sensitive organisms.
The construction of living spaces in the soil and under the moon absorbs energy in the morning and reduces the speed of transfer to the living environment, which makes the temperature of the day favorable for human activity. The energy absorbed and stored in the soil in the cold of night can control the temperature of the designed houses and prevent a rapid drop in temperature.
Energy necessary for human life
Receiving solar energy, in addition to creating many challenges, can be as potential as the moon. The energy received on the surface of the moon from the sun is very high. Conversion and storage of this energy can be a factor in more human activity and pave the way for the expansion of villages on the moon.
Humans and relationships with plants
Man always needs nature and plants. These living organisms have the ability to adapt to harsh conditions if cared for, and it is enough to give them the right time to change and adapt to the conditions.
For this reason, their use in closed spaces and gradual connection with the environment creates the conditions for mutation and change in them. As a result, the amount of green space gradually increases.
The design of green towers and vertical gardens in the design has been in line with this issue. Plants that have adapted to the conditions no longer need controlled spaces to grow and reproduce and can continue to live independently in space.
With the expansion of natural and green spaces, living conditions such as oxygen, the amount of compounds and concentrations of the atmosphere, humidity, wind speed control resulting from the difference between temperature and food will be provided for humans and as a result living conditions will be more favorable.
Animals are part of human need
The relationship between humans and animals is very important. Coexistence, companionship or reproduction and food preparation are some of the sub-branches of this relationship. A dynamic and living village, in addition to human existence, needs to provide conditions for human needs. Designing spaces for raising animals is one of the other things that have been considered in the design of this village.
Light is more than just light
In addition to brightness, natural light has other potentials that should be used by design science for the convenience of users. Sunlight is the basis of many active and passive clean energy systems and sustainable architecture.
Lighting and transmission of natural light to the units
Man needs ambient light to perform his activities and the transmission of natural light into the building is very important. Optical fiber has the ability to receive and transmit light from one side to the other. The use of optical fibers in the ceiling and walls of the design provides the opportunity to transfer light into the building and provide a bright space for users.
Store natural daylight and use it at night
The transmission of light by fiber optics during the day brings light into the space. But for the night there is a need to store this light and reflect it again. The use of materials and colors with the ability of luminescence and photoluminescence in the design of lamps connected to optical fibers provides the opportunity to illuminate the units in the dark of night. Also, the shell around it is designed for rest time and the need for darkness so that users can manage and adjust the amount of ambient light at night.
Hygiene and antiseptic properties by sunlight
Hygiene is one of the most important things in people's lives. Designing a space to put clothes, fabrics and dishes and clean them with sunlight is in the plan to reduce diseases and problems.
Preparation and cooking of food by solar grill
The need for hot food along with keeping the user busy is one of the factors that reduces the hardship and suffering caused by being away and losing relatives and living in a new place. Natural light is the main source of the moon's heat energy. Moving, aligning and concentrating it in one place in the solar grills designed in the users' living space and the area gives the users the opportunity to prepare and cook hot food.
Solar Water Heater
Man's need for hot water for washing utensils and bathing is undeniable. Design and construction of solar water heaters in units is one of the systems related to natural light in this project.
Light, solar cell, electricity and communication devices
The need for electricity in human life is undeniable. Most communication devices work with electricity. The ability to convert solar energy into electricity and make connections between humans and human activities is crucial.
Due to the amount of solar energy received at the surface of the moon and the large amount of open space available to humans, the supply of energy for extensive activities is possible with the proper management and design of the location of solar cells.
Use of communal and social spaces along with spaces for privacy
By designing the interior spaces and furniture of the area, the user is given the opportunity to choose in different times and conditions to experience the highest level of comfort according to his mental and personality conditions. We believe that just as human beings need communication and collective space, they also need space for solitude, thinking, reasoning and thinking away from crowds, and these issues must be taken into account in design.
Improving the level of health and strengthening human beings
Moon conditions are a new experience for humans that need prevention instead of treatment and avoidance of disease.
It is very important to pay attention to the peace and mental and physical health of the users. Planting design with the principles of armatography along with medicinal plants in order to increase the general health of the community, invitation to activity and mobility with the design, creating a sense of place in a suitable space for users and also production, collection, storage and purification of water are among the items are seen in the design.
Attention to all sections of a society
It is true that people who are transported to the moon have special conditions, but the designs must always be such that all sections of society can use the spaces. For this reason, all sections of society and their limitations, including the disabled, the elderly and children, must be considered in the design. The design of spaces and furniture with different heights is for the use of users and their limitations so that the designed spaces are suitable for all these loved ones and they can benefit from it.
The challenge of social life
In the arrangement of village houses, communication and neighborhoods have been considered together. Life is a social activity. We need each other more on the moon. People need to be connected so that they can help each other and have an easier and better life. Therefore, in the placement of the units, an attempt has been made to create more opportunities for social interactions for the people. In addition to social and cultural issues, this issue has a significant impact on the security of the living space.
Sewage Challenge
Due to the risk of wastewater and pollution in the month with the design of special containers for wastewater collection, this threat has become an opportunity to produce biogas as a clean energy
Recycling of human waste and composting
Compost production from waste, tree leaves, etc. is designed by spaces designed to be used in vertical gardens, and then green space and plant reinforcement along with biogas production are used in the design. This movement prevents infection, production and further growth of plants.
Wind due to temperature difference, energy source and natural ventilation
Due to receiving solar energy and sunlight, temperature difference between day and night, shadows and bright spaces in the moon, there are winds with high speed and energy that should be used by windbreaks to improve the level of environmental comfort for humans and living space. They can also use their energy and in addition, with proper design, create the opportunity to use natural ventilation in the units.
Different uses, human needs
Educational spaces, workshops, industrial factories, economic and production centers, research spaces, tourism, health and services are human needs and should be expanded with the expansion of the village and the increase of population. The design and consideration of different spaces for these uses as well as the expansion and reproduction plan of the village have been studied and then considered in the design.
Microclimate
Intense sunlight requires the design and creation of shade. Also, enclosing along with the growth and reproduction of plants creates micro-climates that have more environmental conditions and comfort for humans. Gradually, with the expansion of these spaces, a larger surface of the moon adapts to human life. Of course, over time, humans become more in tune with the environment.
