My project is talking about rehabilitation centre for physical disability (age from 6 to 19 years old) and the rehabilitation for physical disability is divided into two types the physical treatment and psychological treatment so through my project I will be full filling both treatments through the zones included and through the design.
A physical disability is a physical condition that affects a person's mobility, physical capacity, stamina, or dexterity. This can include brain or spinal cord injuries, impairments, and more, and this part will be treated through the physical treatment made in the gymnastics hall.
The phycological part which is as important as the physical because it would help the patient to fill in the void that he feels towards the activities that he couldn’t do and those activities would help in improving his phycological situation, and this phycological part of the treatment would be treated through the swimming pool zone and the multi-purpose hall.
The project is located in 6 October City, Giza, Egypt.
Zone 1: The multi-purpose hall
-In this zone, we help children to psychologically rehabilitate by playing basketball and giving them freedom of movement.
-The parents are the first and last supporters of the children, with their presence, they improve and speed up the rehabilitation process, so I designed a grandstand for the parents to sit on.
-In this zone, events and motivational speakers are also held, so these grandstands disintegrate and change into a theater for events.
Zone 2: The swimming pool
-In this zone, the coach rehabilitates them physically.
-There are types of physical disabilities:
A slight disability can walk, so I designed ladders for them.
Moderately handicapped, they are wheelchair-bound, so I designed a ramp for them.
Absolutely handicapped, they cannot move without an assistant, so I designed the Portable Chair for them.
