This project was prepared in the Basmane region in Konak district of Izmir, with the aim of protecting the industrial heritage and keeping it alive by reintegrating it into the city. Structural and productive industrial heritages in the region have been reimagined to establish a relationship with the environmental context; this reimagined has been nourished with urban elements and turned into a tool that responds with design to the needs of the local people and the textile industry that has existed in the area since the historical process. The main purpose of the project is to create a transition area where regions with different characters intersect around the project area; in this way, while providing spatial integrity and permeability in the city, it also responds to the socio-cultural and socio-economic needs of the citizens. The intersection fiction desired to be created between regions and urban people has found a concrete response by creating common areas in upper scale, architectural units and urban spaces. These common spaces have become social intersection and integration areas affecting the production units and residential housing areas in the project area, and have been transformed into public spaces where all users who experience the area can respond. All these public spaces and production spaces are integrated with each other in their conceptual infrastructure in order to create a system based on socializing while producing and producing while socializing. h h h h
