Introducing the ‘Crystal Garden City, a 324m high supertall mixed-use skyscraper’, at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT), India’s first operational smart city. The tower is a prototype that provides the vision of vertically integrated spaces through the iconic design of ‘The Spiky’ inspired by a diamond, a tribute to Gujarat, known as the diamond capital of the world.
The Spiky, with its alluring interplay of interior and exterior, redefines architecture with innovative amenities, the uniquely placed amenity levels that are filled with native vegetation giving it an organic and futuristic look. With the parametric design, the versatile manipulation of the parameters, the ideal form is designed with a gradual reduction from the bottom of the tower to the waist and then expand again as it forms an aesthetically beautiful and unique geometry, balancing composition and articulation with structural requirements and leasing depth needs.
Besides, the tower offers a mix of programs including apartments, a hotel, a commercial, an automated car park, and numerous other features including amenities at sky soaring heights, and an observatory deck that provides unobstructed 360-degree views across GIFT City. The building will serve as a Landmark and Symbolize GIFT city as an Advance International Tech city. The whole design process uses a digital method in design optimization and design evolution, this enables efficiency, explore more options, and optimize building.
Software: Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper, Revit.
