This project majored in an exhibition of an art gallery. Completed the new exhibition of
The architect holds a critical attitude to modern classic gallery: “white cube”, which the eastern artworks support this argue. And installation intervenes with the original space. The circle and ellipse are internally tangent in the initial area, forms a path like Garden that precisely responds to the theme of exhibition, a legend of Yangzhou Garden.
The route initiated from the Garden connects the exhibition, architecture, art, and design shared eastern context. The ink and white, the circle and square hall, the different height wall, the tunnel wide and narrow, the area illuminating and dark, shadows strong and weak, generating an aesthetic sense of east. Introduced of light and corridor, the unexpected space reminds of an imaginary of Garden, for an immersed, abstract tour in Garden of modern art.
Duos of artworks from two artists, set in the unique place, series of conversation of works build the visiting route, spark an art perception and cultural fields, narrate the exhibition story in an extraordinary experience.
