It is very likely that there will be a significant increase in the occurrence of the future sea level extremes in some regions by 2100.So,the ship of noah will be like the compact co-living system where plants, animals and human will be living together and spaces like private/public-active/passive/semi-private are all together in one module.and the community will have community space, market space, green space, energy production, port and farming.
The project will be compact co-habitation system. Each module will be flecible to join with other units.
THE SHIP OF NOAH Project is all about redefining the sustainable community village in a back-to-stone Age scenario.Global warming is now becoming a big issue in our community and I think about what would it be in next years. The problems would be ice melting, sea level rising and so on.SO i tried to find a solution for the next future years.
I think of Community and convenience.
Live as part of a community, sharing wonderfully designed shared spaces and inspiring events, with the comfort of being able to retreat to your own fully furnished private space at the end of the day.
INSPIRED FROM THE LEAVE OF GREAT LILYPAD OF AMAZON VICTORIA,I took the shape and floating feature from that,so called bio mimicry.
As in the past,we (animals and people) living together. So I considered about what if we do a compact co-living system ,like Human, animal and plant in one module.
So the modular units will be independently created and then used in different systems.

For the floating Mechanism,I inspired from Archimedes Principles which is the balance between gravitational force and buoyancy. As the shape of the module is designed carefully to distribute loads from above and below,it will be well performed in the sea.(inspired from ship mechanism). And for structure development,i made some calculations of wave loading and design model dimensions to respond the first order effect
Then i think about wastewater treatment systems and freshwater production..
