Celebrating the concept of Sattvik in Indian dietary culture, Chromed Design Studio brings in town this new hotspot for vegetarians, Sattvik. The notion was to completely transform the interior design scheme of the already existing brand. This sumptuous restaurant located in a prime location of the city is outlined with tranquil and earthy interiors and delectable cuisine. The notion was to design a modern yet regional fine dining experience that embodies the ‘Sattvik’ spirit based on holistic oneness with the elements of the universe. The material palette constituted maximum of indigenous raw material including wood, cane, terrazzo marble and concrete in compliance with the contemporary styled theme of the place.

The entrance welcomes the visitors with a painstakingly curated wooden façade done in an idiosyncratic horizontal-vertical pattern. This façade fabricates a three-dimensional pattern setting apart the indoor restaurant space from mall corridor, while maintaining a barrier-free sense of connection between the two.

One enters this fashionable contemporary-vernacular fusion to delve into a spirit of nostalgia and goes adrift savouring its rustic tellurian interiors that grant the patrons a traditional Indian feeling. The dining space is divided into various seating arrangements across the expanse through a railing done in glass & wood. The restaurant walls are covered with mute texture paint on three sides with a ceiling outlined in cane cladding and wooden moulding grid which adds an indigenous touch to the sphere. The seating running along the walls is incorporated with an interesting detail where jute is woven intricately on the top edge, forming a distinctive sense of style. The nuance added through spectacular vignettes of vernacular heritage and culture expounds the concept of this restaurant, conferring onto a modern yet edgy essence at the same time.

The innovative pendant lights made of concrete and resplendent globe lights add on to the kindle of the already glistening expanse. The minimalistic design scheme is transformed into a masterful marvel with these custom-designed lights bringing in a splendid spirit. Other ornamentations like brass inlay on walls, bevelled edges of the mirrors, rounded corners, the ikat fabric, cane on chair backdrops and the green & terracotta accents state “luxury is in detail”.

The bar serves as the focal facet boasting of green and gold accents while supplementing the essence of vitality. Planters subsumed in the design infuse a silent connectivity between the built environment, the users and the natural environ. The traditional props kept on the bar backdrop marks the eccentric regional dialect. The open kitchen at the back with pottery props and terracotta jali adds a pop to the overall aesthetic value.

The rebranded Sattvik makes for a one stop destination for hard-core vegetarians amidst a plethora of restaurants serving flexible genre of cuisines. It functions as a blessing in disguise. The overall interior grammar is designed keeping in mind the central theme of balance and visual harmony.
