Comfort and luxury don't necessarily have a big price tag attached to it. The brief from the client was very simple- subtle and comfortable. We used a harmony of wood and marble in the house with highlights of gold and accents of pop colours in art and accessories to create the material pallet of the house. Every detail in this residence, from the skirting on the floor to the bends of furniture, was customised to create that sense of personalisation.
The Living and the Dining area are designed in a very soothing pallet with hints of earthy tones making it the perfect area for a nature loving couple. The Dining area holds the central position in the house so we highlighted it in a bold wooden frame. It not only makes a bold statement but also breaks the monotony of the white in the space.
One of the challenges in this project was accommodating the daughter's choice of vibrant colours with the subtle material pallet of the house. To cater to her love of pink, we used its shades in the feature wall, bed headboard and the study chair and balanced it out with tones of grey. Overall the room was following the design language of the house while giving a distinctive touch to her bedroom.
Subtle luxury is what we aimed at while designing the master bedroom. The bedroom was designed in tones beige and grey with accents of gold. The focal point of the room is the corner sitting area as the couple spent most time there.
Use of sleek modern furniture with bold contemporary design elements and use of earthy tones weaved the spaces of this house together giving it a unique character.
