Concrete and tezontle shape this levitating body, which flies over the concrete jungle. Inspired by Mexican roots, we used raw materials to reflect an authentically human architecture.
Located in Toluca’s International Airport, our project represents Mexico’s connection with the world through Private Aviation.
The introspective design contains windowsills, blind walls and interior patios filled with subtle vegetation.
The space, with adequate lighting and ventilation, offers a view to the airport runways, the mountains and the sky, blocking the surrounding industrial construction sites.
The depressed entrance connects the entrance tunnel with the heart of the project, a double-height atrium.
The FBO located on the ground floor is the core of an international operation which provides exclusive waiting and entertaining space to clients and pilots while its headquarters work on the first floor. It connects hangars and offices, and its overhang works as entrance and exit while providing cover from the inclement local weather.
The construction of the project will finish by February 2020 and will become an architectural and private aviation symbol and a landmark for Mexican vanguard and innovation.

The project includes a full bioclimatic proposal, the louvered façade with tezontle aggregates, allows to save energy and protect from local weather conditions. Its design fosters ideal ventilation throughout all spaces. The rooftop has solar panels and a rainwater collection system.
The duovent aluminum works protect the site from acoustic pollution and from weather conditions, thus creating adequate temperature levels and reducing the use of heating and air conditioning.
