A five star resort was envisoned in a proposed lake side township. The site is located fifty kilometers from the city of Pune along the banks of Varasagaon Lake in the Tamini range. The architecture of the project was to create a resort that does not disturb the natural beauty of the surounding valley. The building would merge with the hill slopes and become part of the terraces. The fifty room resort has a common hospitality centre and a club house. To achieve the theme of the resort solitude, individual room-units, sunk into the ground, overlooking the lake were created. This helped create a highly un-intrusive landscape where each room appeared to be the only room in the site. The rooms were uniquely shaped with walls flowing and merging with the site contours.
