Mt Theo is operated by the Warlpiri Regional Youth Development Aboriginal Corporation which provides basic facilities on traditional country for the rehabilitation of youth suffering from the effects of various substance abuses . It is located over 100 kms from the nearest community and allows the carers to work with the young men and women away from the urban lifestyle influences. The project was undertaken in association with Richard Layton and incorporates two bunkhouse style rooms, a central living verandah which utilises roller walls to enclose the core space for winter and has fully enclosed house parents sleeping areas either side.
