ANALYSIS AND IMPROVEMENT OF A RUN-DOWN AREA IN BUCHAREST

The project was about introduction into a run-down area of Bucharest different improvements and facilities that will improve the living standard of the area into a healthy and joined community. The concept was to preserve the buildings that were abandoned, restore them and convert them into exposition centers and spaces for artist studios. Another strong characteristic of the area was to give access through the site to the church located in the North corner of the block. Clearing the area will make room for possible road shows to establish, such as collectibles sales.
The 2 buildings that had commercial use as well as living unit had their restaurant and mixed store amenities extended. A childrens play area was added and a wall climbing place within the designated space.
