This project marks the entrance to the new resort as a structural landmark. Two distinctive wood volumes rest on stone bases like boulders in the landscape. The siting of the volumes engages in a dialogue with the unique landscape of Andermatt and frames views of the surrounding valleys. The two free standing figures refer to the hospice architecture and historical grand-hotels. Their inclined roofs blend in with the roofscape of the village, while the sloping facades of the two volumes recall the form of the cliffs. The overall composition with the two boulders creates a public path between village and surroundig landscape.
