This is my second micromuseum concieved to tell the tragic story of Russian prisoners of war in Germany during the second world war. The timber barracks is heritage protected, a modular building system developed by the german national socialists during the second world war. The tragedy is that this temporary light construction system was also used to house prisoners of war in inhuman conditions. The glass object designed is a lighting sculpture that lights the dark history and provides a micro-climatical protected space in winter and is cool in summer. A house of hope within a house of despair. The space inside the glass object is silent and fitted out with an interactive exhibition.
