Gianni Ranaulo Design is legacy of LightArchitecture™ is a bold attempt to synthesise the real and virtual worlds. This fusion is becoming
increasingly essential in our interconnected society, with early examples evident in television.
At LightArchitecture™, we believe in uniting virtual space with tangible reality to create a cohesive perception of the real world, fostering a singular dimension: ‘stereoreality’. This vision counters the societal isolation risk from excessive computer and internet use, which distort our visual reality. We aim to integrate this vision on an urban scale, introducing a new architectural dimension within cities.
Recognising that the global village emerges in urban landscapes, we advocate shifting from individual, private spheres (like computers and TVs) to the collective urban environment, fostering the ‘glocal village’. Just as Renaissance architects revolutionized reality
through geometry, today’s architects must develop a new relationship with reality through a stereoscopic perspective, encompassing both physical space and virtual time-space. This enables real-time communication and interaction with the world.
The city of the future will see two urban realities coexist: the tangible city with its core, periphery, and challenges, and the virtual city, which significantly influences the former. Integrating these realms on an urban scale requires cutting-edge technologies and
experimental techniques from film to create awe-inspiring architectural projects. These projects will not only soften their impact on the public but also foster meaningful interaction with citizens.
At LightArchitecture™, we are dedicated to pioneering this vision of harmonious coexistence between the real and the virtual, shaping urban landscapes that reflect our commitment to unity, innovation, and sustainable progress.
