The classical notion of capitalistic exploitation through the suppression of the development of the exploited parties seems not relevant anymore, under the pressures of globalization. Global capitalism now needs developed and demanding masses apt enough to be demanding for consumption as required for the compulsion to growth. As a strategy to reach this end, the rich ought better choose to compensate for the crimes of their ancestors against the masses that they now need as consumers for the turnover of their finance capital. As the world is shrinking into a global village now it is no longer possible for an affluent minority to maintain an isolated life with a majority approaching starvation nearby. The rich soon or later will have to compensate for their historically granted beneficiary, and finance the development of the whole world.
