In the spring of 2007 the ‘Architecture and Modernity: Public Building’programme of the Faculty of Architecture at the Delft University ofTechnology hold a series of seminars on the theme of Architecture,Modernity and the Public Sphere, entitled ‘Architectural Positions’. Insix sessions, the positions adopted by architects in the debate onvarious themes related to modernity and the public sphere werepresented and questioned. The seminars illustrated how architects, not just in their architectural production but more specifically intheir writing respond relentlessly to changes in the public sphere byadopting various ‘Architectural Positions`.
