The Mayor Office of Astana city (Akimat) is launching an international architectural competition for the development of concept of the National Pantheon of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Pantheon is to be designed to become a burial vault of national heroes who have made a significant contribution to the establishing a national identity and development of the country. It has to be unique from monumental and ornamental art perspective and cult content as well.

 

The purpose of the competition is to generate conceptual architectural and urban-planning solutions and ideas of Pantheon.

 

The Competition will last from December 1, 2013 till March 1, 2014. The best concept will get award equal to 7.5 Million KZT.
