OMA's CCTV Headquarters has been named the winner of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) Best Tall Building Worldwide Award 2013.

As part of a nearly year-long juried selection process across more than 60 entries, the Awards Jury first selected a Best Tall Building in four regions: the Americas, Middle East and Africa, Europe and Asia & Australasia. CCTV Headquarters won the Asia & Australasia regional award earlier this year.

At the CTBUH Awards Symposium at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, on 7 November, senior representatives of each of the four regional award winners gave a presentation on their regional winning entry. The CCTV Headquarters was selected by the Jury as the Best Tall Building Worldwide 2013. CCTV Headquarters was also selected by the over 700 audiences at the symposium as the winner of the popular vote for the Best Tall Building.
