The Architecture Foundation will be holding a summer school in Poplar, Tower Hamlets, in partnership with Spotlight, a creative youth space in East London.
AF will be running a week-long series of free creative workshops with architects, artists, writers and designers to investigate the local built environment, as well as local myths and perceptions of space, with the aim of making an alternative audio guide of the area that will be available to the public in August 2014.
AF is recruiting a group of young people aged 16-19 years old from Poplar and the surrounding area. If you are aged between 16-19 and would like to take part please contact Laura Smith.
This programme is in partnership with Spotlight and is funded by Arts Council England.
Poplar Summer School collaborators include Alan Cusack (IOE, University of London), Benji Fox (NUIK) and Dom Harwood (toot!).
