Madrid-based architecture studio OOIIO Arquitectura has turned an ordinary apartment into a designer home with flawless ceramic surfaces in Madrid, Spain. 

Named Tur House, the interior of the apartment is an example of originality and inventiveness, demonstrating the impact of highly expressive ceramic materials in small layout. Ceramics flow smoothly across walls and floors, unifying spaces and breaking away from conventional spaces.

Tur House, which is situated in Madrid, Spain's Carabanchel area, is a prime example of how an apartment in a conventional neighborhood can be totally transformed. 

The architectural office OOIIO Arquitectura has produced a space that is full of individuality and expression by employing the elements that are readily available and WOW Design's skillful use of ceramics.

Tur House serves those looking for a customized living space by demonstrating that an average flat can be turned into a designer house on a budget by using ingenuity and imagination in the use of accessible and expressive materials.

"Ceramics are a splendid material, deeply rooted in Spanish culture since the Arab tradition and even earlier. By selecting playful, expressive, and suggestive pieces and placing them in unexpected locations, we create surprise and uniqueness, resulting in a distinctive space," explained the team at OOIIO. 

"By using materials available at any retailer and arranging them creatively, we can transform a space in a unique and original way,” they added.

The living room at Tur House features a ceramic wainscot from WOW Design's Grace series, which evokes the beauty of an outside patio while bridging the gap between tradition and the inside. 

Ceramics integrate spaces and defy convention by flowing smoothly across walls and floors in a variety of tones.

In order to experiment with spatial continuity and create a surreal mood where a lamp becomes the sun, ceramics from the bedroom extend like a "cloud" into the living room. The commonplace can be transformed into the spectacular thanks to this formal and creative freedom.

The materials are straightforward but well-chosen. The use of ceramics and chromatic coherence in the kitchen and bathrooms contribute to the maintenance of a cohesive and unique style. 

The project's pastel color scheme gives it charm and freshness while fostering a warm and lively ambiance. The flooring, which unifies the area and gives the entire house coherence, is from the Tesserae series.

Tur House is notable for its clever use of materials and business opportunities in addition to its usefulness and beauty. OOIIO Arquitectura has demonstrated that excellent design need not be expensive.

"Everything was available in stores; we just needed to dream of something different," the architects explained.

OOIIO Arquitectura, which was established in Madrid ten years ago, describes itself as a creative studio that focuses on architectural innovation through workable solutions. The prudent use of resources, simplicity, inventiveness, and individualized approaches to every project are their defining characteristics.

Previously, OOIIO Architecture created a single-family house that plays with the intersection of red ceramic-tiled volumes arranged in a rotated position in Valdemorillo, a town north of Madrid, near the Sierra, Spain. 

Additionally, the firm converted a former haberdashery into a new flat featuring L-shaped colorful cabinets that surround the walls.
