Copenhagen-based architecture studio 3XN, in collaboration with Orbicon and SLA, has won a competition for a new Climatorium in the city of Lemvig in Denmark, which will reinterpret and tribute to the area’s nature, fishing culture and the local building codes that are all influenced by the local climate conditions.

Developed by Lemvig City Council and Lemvig Water and Wastewater, visitors for Lemvig Climatorium will first be greeted by a "climate landscape" that almost flows into the building before they enter the climatorium through a wooden entrance that is shaped like a wave with reference to a ship’s hull, the fjord and the waves of the sea.
