Tarun Bhasin - India
Since April 24, 2018
Tarun Bhasin has been appointed as India's Country Reporter, as part of the WAC's Country Editors/Reporters program. Tarun Bhasin was born in Delhi, India and graduated from School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal. He has found his passion in architectural journalism and wants to write and explain cities to primarily, non-architects. He won the Berkeley Prize Essay Competition in 2015 and Berkeley Prize Travel Fellowship in 2015 in which his focus shifted from writing about concepts to narrating human experiences and stories of particular events.
Tarun, within a team, participated and won two World Architecture Festival Student Charrettes consecutively (2015, 2016). He has a keen desire to work for the development of slums as production spaces in the city and finding solutions that have the capacity to reinvigorate even the most neglected minorities in the present situation. His undergraduate thesis focused on the design of housing prototype for inert work-dwell communities.
You can follow Tarun on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram and Medium.
If you also want to be part of our volunteer reporters and become "the voice of your country on WAC while being the face of WAC in your country", please send your motivation message and your CV to [email protected]. We also accept more than one reporter by country.
