Vietnamese architecture practice Sawadeesign Studio has created a flexible interior for a handicraft store that features slender shelves in Vietnam.
Named TAP Space, the 80-square-metre store was designed for a creative handicraft brand in Saigon, Vietnam.
The architects used all-white slender shelves to display products, making also circulation easy in the interior.
After four years of establishment and development, this brand has set up not only a decent space to display their stunning products to customers but also a concept store to introduce some other outstanding local brands.
The architects said that TAP is one of the most proactive pioneer that making effort to enhance the inner power of Vietnam local brand community.
The existing site is situated on the ground level of an old house with a small yard. This small store includes entrance, from yard, display area, casher counter, storage, working area and parking lot.
The architects first started to design by shaping the main traffic flow throughout the display area.
"The product experience journey will be guided in a maze with the beginning at the entrance and the end point is a yard covered with white sand," said Sawadeesign Studio.
As the studio highlights, they were allowed to interfere with existing floors and walls so they placed lightweight structures and unburnt tile flooring directly on the existing floor, which is the solution of choice.
Sawadeesign desires to bring a simple, light and coarse experience space in this project.
