Indianapolis has been described as “the intersection of access and opportunity,” referencing that the circle of stakeholders influencing the future of the city is open and diverse. People with ideas and passion are rewarded with the opportunity to contribute and influence.
The CityCorps Fellowship is a new program aimed at continuing the legacy of allowing those with ideas, intent and creativity to leave their mark on Indianapolis-Marion County. The CityCorps Fellowship will provide an incredibly unique opportunity for emerging leaders to contribute to Indianapolis’ new Bicentennial plan, Plan 2020.
Indianapolis has always been a city crafted by intent; from the original “Mile Square” plan on which the city was founded, to the “Parks and Boulevards” system plan of noteworthy landscape architect George Kessler, to the “Amateur Sports Capital of the World” strategy that culminated in Indianapolis hosting the 2012 Super Bowl. Fellows will work with Plan 2020 staff and volunteers to help write the next chapter in Indianapolis’ history. The work of the ten selected Fellows will infuse cutting edge ideas, insights, research and best practices which contribute to and advance the five organizing themes of Plan 2020: Choose, Connect, Love, Serve and Work.
