Friday September 26 at 4:00pm, Francine Houben will give a lecture called ‘The libraries of the future’ at the Bibliotheektheater of the Centrale Bibliotheek Rotterdam.
Libraries are more than just a house full of books these days. Societies are changing and so are the role and purpose of libraries. These developments affect library buildings as well. Each design commission for a library is unique.
After all, every city, every library audience, community and purpose of a library is different. In the lecture, Francine Houben will talk about her experience and vision regarding libraries and library buildings.
