The U.S. will nominate 10 buildings designed by late architect Frank Lloyd Wright to be world heritage sites, the first submission the nation will make in the field of modern architecture.

There are currently 1,007 sites worldwide of “outstanding universal value” that are recognized as World Heritage Sites by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
