The project consists of the renovation of an existing building and hosting two chalets and the construction of a shelter for the county area of Hostens order to accommodate school groups. Each building must allow the reception of a group or class complete with its accompaniment. The departmental Hostens recreation area is located in the heart of the Regional Park of Landes de Gascogne. Field of study is located near the center of dining and entertainment area of the county in eastern limits of the urbanized part of Hostens town, along the provincial road 110.

The project is located in the western part of the field near the entrance of the domain, easily accessible from the road. The construction of the shelter consists of a compact building consisting of rooms, bathrooms and a multipurpose room and an easily accessible quiet room on the ground floor. The habitat template recommended in the White Paper of the regional park guided the formulation of a compact building r + 1 to the scale of a group accommodation, the height of the attic is used as an accommodation space.

The project employs the use of materials in line with the objectives of sustainable development. The choice of building cladding was inspired by the surrounding environment, the wood and vegetation has therefore emerged naturally. 

The facades are treated battens noble gas or wood rot so as to meet the HQE requirements. This type of wood naturally resistant to the absence of chemical treatment best preserves the environment while being simple to maintain. The building uses a renewable energy source with the installation of a solar hot water. Rainwater is collected for watering.
