Ateliers Jean Nouvel (AJN) and the company Shandong International Coastal Cultural Industry Co.Ltd signed a major contract for the realization of a project "Artists Garden" in Qingdao (Shandong Province, China).

The surface of this project was approved by the local government, is about 70,000 square meters and includes a museum, art institutes, artists' studios, a meeting place for artists and a marina. This rich program aims to reflect the major importance of culture and art in the development of China today. Three years of exchange between Jean Nouvel and the Shandong company helped refine the project that mixes educational places, places of creativity and research, exhibition spaces and places vested in the art market. This contemporary and innovative project is in the nature harmoniously.

The "Artists Garden" is a unique biotope which aims to promote dialogue between architecture and art and is expected to become a new travel goal for art lovers. The "Artists 'Garden' seeks to reflect the dynamism of Chinese culture today. Its construction will help to enrich the cultural offer of the city of Qingdao.
