However, there's still room for a better social, economic and urban life both for residents and travelers who may have the chance to enjoy even more this city throughout a new urban vision that includes new cultural and open green spaces which will become the main factor for a healthier growth of the city.

For this reason, a group of local architects and the goverment of Morelia, have developed the project called "Morelia Cultural". According to Evo(a)_Lab, an architectural firm working on this plan, the urban scheme "aims to gradually build spaces and buildings, considering the Cuauhtémoc Park as epicenter of the transformation and converting its surroundings into receivers of cultural infrastructures such as museums, a concert hall, a library, public squares and pedestrian promenades."

A document developed to outline the project described that once these spaces have been created, the urban plan will be enriched with all sort of cultural events and activities that will bring greater benefits such as connectivity within the historical center, pedestrian mobility, and universal accessibility, among others.

The Cuauhtemoc Park will have public transportation and bicycle stations, it also will connect different pedestrian routes and shared streets. This new park will host events and activities for children, youngsters, middle age people and seniors. The new buildings will be aligned with the paths or squares of the park in order to promote easy accessibility.

The project has been designed as to be developed within the next 20 years, in which the new areas will be built while the existing areas are incorporated to the project so that, when everything is finished, the city of Morelia will have integrated its historical places with a new urban area that will make this place even more atractive for people to live in it, and for visitors to walk around.
