The collaboration between world renowned designer Zaha Hadid and leading Lebanese Jewellery house Aziz & Walid Mouzannar was forged through deep rooted family connections and a shared innate passion between all three designers, each bringing their individualism to the piece.

The Exclusive design entitled ‘The Petal Cuff’ was crafted by hand using 18ct white gold and set with 1,048 white diamonds and symbolizes the collaboration of design minds; sculptural form, sensual femininity and exceptional craftsmanship. The intricate web design formed by the diamonds gently envelops the white gold cuff resulting in a delicate piece that explores the evolution of organic geometries and patterning.

The Mouzannar family are globally renowned as leading fine jewelers in the Middle East. Established in the mid-18th century the brand was transformed in the 1950’s with the contributions from the late brothers, Aziz and Walid Mouzannar who established the Mouzannar Jeweller’s Souk as the ultimate jewellery destination for the entire Middle East.

Unfortunately the Souk was demolished during the Lebanese Civil War, however this did not affect the prestige of the Mouzannar family, whose reputation still holds prominence in the jewellery industry today. The House of Aziz and Walid Mouzannar is now run by six-generation cousins Alia and Dori Mouzannar, taking the family’s signature Middle Eastern and antiquity inspired creations and adding a refined, contemporary aesthetic. The result is two diverse, but connected collections by each designer with a timeless elegance and emotional substance.

A private event to launch the ‘Petal Cuff’ will take place on Thursday 13th November at the Zaha Hadid gallery, followed by a two day public pop up, which will also showcase collections from Dori and Alia Mouzannar.
