Last fall, the Black Rock City Ministry of Urban Planning announced a new competition for Burners in the Nevada desert, and they asked: ''If you could design Black Rock City, what would you build?''

The result of this unofficial design competition is a free ebook of almost 100 city plans from contributors in over 30 countries. These designs, ranging from rough sketches to beautifully detailed renderings, explore the concept of Black Rock City as an imagined space, from straightforward adaptations to the current plan to completely new and science fictional cityscapes.
