Australia finally designed its new pavilion in Venice, which will be opened next week at Giardini. This massive black cube designed by Melbourne practice architects Denton Corker Marshall. The successful of the project is to display itself as a distinct trait with its ''minimal response'' to the ''minimal, elegant and simple'' architecture that will make a wonder about ''what is inside it,what actually is it'' said Denton Corker Marshall Architects according to the report of Edwin Heathcote from Financial Times.

In addition,Denton Corker said that “We’ve designed a lot of embassies,” Denton replies, “and in every one there’s this idea that the ambassador should be able to take visitors around the building and use it to tell a story — so we’re very used to this idea. But here we had this idea that this was Australia sitting at the edge of the trees.”.

In this regard, the bulding with its mysterious effect seems as a new intriguing metaphor that will do both for the public-will attract and conceal something at the same time writes Edwin Heathcote in his text. This black granite blox will be able to seen from around the canal by the visitors that makes the building good fitting into the landscape.
