A completely self contained concrete service pod. Itis a permanent and cost effective housing unit which can assist in therebuilding of the fire devastated town-ships of Victoria.   The robust pre-fabricatedconcrete structure has been designed to be built upon, but in the shortterm acts as a habitable starting point for the building of a new home.The units can be prefabricated, delivered and connected to servicesrapidly allowing families to begin the process of re-building withoutdisplacement from their communities.   TheHouse Pod is not just relief housing it is a starting block for there-growth of regional Victoria. We have built a number of projectsusing concrete prefabrication technology and further information can befound on our website. More recently we have completed a 200 bed student residences across 4 sites in NSW working with Joss Construction.   The fabricator of the concrete modules, Ecotec Build Solutions are generously constructing a prototype which will be fitted out by Joss Construction and the kind donations of all our supporters.

After several days of discussion and design amongst the office we attach our design for the HOUSE REGROWTH Pod. It is a permanent and cost effective housing unit which can assistin the rebuilding of the fire devastated town-ships of Victoria.  The robust pre-fabricated concrete structure has been designed to be built upon, but in the short term acts as a habitable starting point for the building of a new home. The units can be prefabricated, delivered and connected to services rapidly allowing families to begin the process of re-building without displacement from their communities.  The House Pod is not just relief housing it is a starting block for the re-growth of regional Victoria.We are working closely with the fabricator of the concrete modules , Ecotec Build solutions who have generously offered to construct a prototype and Joss Construction who will fit it out. The prototype pod is scheduled to be delivered to the first site towards the end of next week.After this time it is anticipated that and more will arrive and be delivered to sites across Victoria" Ben Edwards RIBA
