WAN Awards is delighted to introduce the judging panel for the 3rd WAN Adaptive Reuse Award 2014
John Assael Jonathan McDowell Sandy Wright
Reviewing this year's projects will be:
John Assael, Founder of Assael Architecture
With a particular interest in designing mixed-use schemes in urban areas, John is former Chair of the RIBA Journal and has previously sat on the panel for the RIBA Regional Awards.
Jonathan McDowell, McDowell + Benedetti
Establishing Jonathan McDowell Architects in 1991 Jonathan has since then completed a wide range of projects including some in association with Renato Benedetti, Forming McDowell + Benedetti in 1996. Jonathan is also a visiting critic and occasional lecturer at several schools of architecture.
Sandy Wright
Sandy studied at the Mackintosh School of Architecture where he was taught by Isi Metzstein, whom he later worked for at Gillespie Kidd & Coia. Sandy has lectured and reviewed work at over 20 schools of architecture. He was a visiting critic at the Mackintosh School and a Visiting Professor at Newcastle University.
