Andrea Dragoni, architect, obtained his degree at the Faculty of Architecture of Florence with Professor Paolo Zermani. He has been contract professor at the first Faculty of Architecture and Society, Politecnico di Milano and at the Faculty of Engineering of Perugia. Currently he is teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts Pietro Vannucci of Perugia. He is operating with a multidisciplinary team, with studio in Perugia and a branch office Milan. He works in the fields of architecture, engineering and design. He plans and supervises the execution of his projects in Italy and abroad for both private and public institutions. His most recent achievements include: the new Vidrala industrial building along the Naviglio Grande canal, Milan-Corsico; the preparation ( with studio HOF) of the travelling exhibition “Steve McCurry – Sensational Umbria,F. He has been selected for the “Rizoma” Biennial of young architects and for the initiative “Pre-visions”, 30 designers for the future of Vicenza, In 2009 he was invited to participate in the diffused Biennial of contemporary architecture “Attraversamenti” and he was, along with artist Nicola Renzi, among the finalists of the 6th Targetti art Lignt Biennial prize. His project for the enlargement of the Gubbio cemetery was among the best international works in the context of the “Barbara Cappochin international architecture prize”. Furthermore, he was selected to participate in the 8th edition of the International Dedalo Minosse prize, while on the occasion of the “AR+D Emerging Architecture Awards 2013” he received a Highly Commended award. He was a finalist in the category of best public building of the year of culture in the context of the Emirates Glass Leaf Award 2013. In 2014 won the international prize IQU, and received from German Design Council the Iconic Award, Best of the Best for Public architecture.In 2016 won the special mention of German Design Award He has published articles in the most important architecture magazines and has participated in important group exhibitions:Frankfurt (Museum für Kunsthandwerk) London (Emerging architecture - RIBA); Vicenza/other EU and US cities ( travelling exhibition, Capocchin and Dedalo Minosse prizes); Padua (Table of architecture); Pontedera ( “Rizoma”, Biennial of young architects), Milan (Triennial); Venice (“Tese”, covered sheds, of the Arsenal); Rome –Sarajevo (Biennial of the young artists of the Mediterranan area); Vicenza (Forum center, Palladian Basilica); Stuttgart (Arkitectur Galerie); Düsseldorf (Glastec); Moscow (Bridgetower); Tangshan (governor’s palace).
