Jose Orrego
Graduated architect from Ricardo Palma University, Lima, Peru in 1985. Member of the Colegio de Arquitectos del Perú since 1988.
Orrego has specialized in different projective areas, among them, stand out beach houses, corporate offices, commercial sites, shopping centers and big scale projects. In 1990, he won the contest for the recovery of the Historical Center «Lima can change» partnered with other distinguished architects.
In 1994, the Major of Miraflores awarded him the medal of the district for the design of the Central Park, because this fact meant a very important contribution to the community. In the year 2005, he was granted the PADIS award in the commercial design category for the new image of the BEMBOS restaurant chain.
In 1998, he founded Consultora Metrópolis, one the most important architecture firms in Peru today.
In 2006, he received two awards in the XII Bienal Nacional de Arquitectura, one for the design of the HSBC offices and the other for the refurbishment and the development of the corpOrrego obtained the IIDA 2007 award in the 34th annual edition of IESNA LIGHTING DESIGN AWARDS, in which participate the world´s most representative lighting projects. This time, he deserved the PAUL WARTERBURY
FOR OUTDOOR AWARD OF EXCELLENCE for his esthetic solution in the LED light application for the corporate building of PROFUTURO company.
