STUDIO 4/301
STUDIO 4/301 was founded in Shanghai by three young designers returning from overseas, focusing on spatial design research. While constantly exploring the forms of space and the properties of materials, the team also emphasizes the narrative expression of spaces. We are dedicated to offering avant-garde design concepts in different contexts, engaging projects with a speculative and unique perspective. Through the design logic of “recording” and “translating,” we aim to highlight the unique qualities of each space. Our expertise continues to expand into related fields such as lighting, installations, interaction, and planning, striving to explore new possibilities in every project.
We are convinced that through a near-academic approach to design research—emotionally driven and supported by experimental methodologies—we can reveal the diverse spatial uniqueness that exists even within complex contemporary living environments, thereby providing unconventional and non-standard design content.
