Eduardo Gorozpe
We are an architecture, urbanism, design and research office based in Mexico City. Our name, A-001, represents the first idea in the conception of a project, returning to the origin of design through observation and contemplation as creative principles. We believe that thinking is shaping and we are guided by the fundamental question: How is it done? This approach allows us to focus on the creative process, always in search of innovative and appropriate solutions.
We strive for constant and progressive design improvement, through research, experimentation and meticulous attention to detail. Continuous improvement is a practice that we understand as an essential part of our craft. As we work, we model diverse possibilities to generate experiences and relationships with space, always with a flexible and permeable approach that incorporates the needs and expectations of the users. This process allows us to create authentic architectural responses that dialogue directly with people and their environment.
A-001's approach is characterized by a deep attention to the quality of materials, emphasizing honesty in their use, congruence and relevance to the project. Thus, we seek that each architectural intervention is coherent with its context and that the materials, in addition to fulfilling an aesthetic and functional function, reinforce the character and history of the place. Our work reflects a commitment to the creation of spaces that enhance stories, experiences and human relationships through thoughtful and conscious design.
